FABRICATION CAPACITY

Berry & Escott’s sophisticated capabilities and ‘Design for Manufacture’ solutions free our highly skilled design specialists from the traditional limitations of large sheet metal and fabricated assemblies.

Our segregated Carbon and Stainless Steel workshops house a Fabrication Capacity that includes CNC Folding, Bending & Rolling machines, multiple fabrication bays and comprehensive welding, finishing & dressing facilities.

Holding CE Marking of fabricated structural steelwork BS EN 1090 to Execution Class 3 (EXC3) certification provides evidence of Berry & Escott’s suitable Factory Production Control (FPC), ensuring the traceability of every component from source, through the fabrication process and on to final delivery to site.

Roll forming sheet metal, tube & sectional parts

Our Metalwork Department use precision NC rolling machines to roll form sheet metal, tube and sectional parts.

Utilising an advanced 3D CAD system we can develop complex formed components and use precision laser or water cut templates to ensure the finished form meets the correct specifications.

Berry & Escott’s NC Rolling Machines have a capacity to handle 1300mm wide sheet metal to a 3mm thickness.

Sheet metal folding & bending

We have a full range of metal forming facilities, including: CNC Folding, Bending and Rolling machines. Our Press Brake is rated up to 170 tonnes and is capable of bending up to 3 meter lengths of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Tube, Pipe & Sectional Roll capacity is up to Ø3.1/8″ tube, 3″ RHS, 2.1/2″ RSA

Sheet metal cutting

Berry & Escott’s sheet metal cutting capabilities enable us to supply Profiles and Guillotine cut blanks to the following capacity:

Guillotine cut Sheet Steel (13mm thick x 3 meters long)

Stainless Steel plate shearing up to (8mm thick x 3 meters long)

Carbon Steel plate shearing up to (8mm thick x 3 meters long)

Berry & Escott’s have multiple fabrication bays and our engineers can manufacture engineered solutions in most metals or plastic to meet a customer’s specific build requirements.

• Qualified/Coded Welding staff
• Calibrated MIG/TIG & MMA welding
• Spot Welding & Stud Welding
• A speed adjustable Rotary Table, providing a more uniformed finish on cylindrical welds
• A comprehensive dressing service allowing stainless steel fabrications to be finished to a high standard, removing oxidisation marks and re-applying grain to brushed finished items
