CNC Machinist vacancy  

Berry & Escott Engineering has a permanent position for a CNC Milling Machinist.

Due to work load we are looking for a skilled experienced machinist. The ideal candidate with have knowledge and experience working with a range of materials including: Steel, Plastic, Aluminium, Stainless Steel etc.

The successful candidate would need to be able to work from both drawings and written / verbal instructions. A good knowledge of Siemens Shop mill or a Conversational Control would be an advantage but not essential.

The successful candidate will be working within a well established team and must also be flexible and able to work under their own initiative.

  • Experience working with Siemens Shop mill would be a benefit
  • Must be able to programme, set and operate.
  • Experience working within a machine shop that isn’t production based – we don’t make large batches of the  same thing. We make special individual parts for our customers
  • 45 Hours per week
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays with an option to accrue an additional 5 days holiday.

Stores worker

  • Full clean driving license essential
  • Some delivery driving and collecting of goods
  • Experience working within an engineering environment would be a benefit
  • Role would require some manual handling operations
  • Potential of using power tools to cut raw materials. Training would be given.
  • Potential of working inside our Bead blast room. Training would be given.
  • The role would involve handling high end expensive parts that have been manufactured in house.
