The company was originally established over 30 years ago as Berry Engineering, but after Lee Berry & Chris Escott created a partnership, the company is now known as ‘Berry & Escott Engineering’

Berry & Escott are relentless in adopting new technologies into our production processes. We continuously make financial investments to keep our machinery, 10’000sq foot workshops and procedures up to date whilst making sure our carbon footprint is kept to a minimum.

We truly believe that by having these accreditations, which include regular audit, make sure our business runs as efficiently as possible. They also demonstrate that we produce high quality workmanship and display eagerness to continuously improve every area of our business.
As part of our commitment to quality we have our own in house inspection room equipped with a full range of precision measuring equipment.
Every employee within the company is encouraged to be responsible for the task or function that they perform and are committed to delivering a quality product.
In all aspects of work we encourage good environmental practices. In 2010 we completed the ‘5S Lean Manufacturing Training Programme’. As a result we have implemented lean principles which have enabled us to reduce waste, increase efficiency and lower energy consumption.
We produce products for various Environment Agencies and wherever possible ensure we use materials that are re-cycled and have a low carbon footprint.
Our factory boasts a state of the art energy efficient Compressor. We re-use the hot air output from this to heat the factory in the winter. We have also replaced all the skylights to reduce the need for lighting and where it is required, have incorporated energy efficient lighting. We also re-use virtually all incoming packaging and have significantly reduced our waste to landfill.
We are historical winners of the Somerset Chamber of commerce Environment award Again, we feel this highlights the dedication and commitment we have to this area of our business.
